Terms of Use
Last updated, 30 October 2026
These terms cover your use of ScrubMatic, the iPhone and iPad app by Infinite Loop Alchemist. By using the app you agree to them. Where they do not cover something, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
1 Who ScrubMatic is for
You need a paid AI music plan or the rights to the music. ScrubMatic does not remove audible watermarks or Content ID.
ScrubMatic is for your own songs and stems: music you made, or music you have the rights to use.
2 Your responsibility
- Use ScrubMatic only on files you have the right to change.
- You are responsible for how you use the files ScrubMatic makes, and for following the terms of the AI music service you used, including its rules on plans and commercial use.
- Do not use ScrubMatic to break a law, a contract or anyone's rights.
3 What ScrubMatic removes, and what it does not
ScrubMatic removes the markers AI music services leave in a file: the metadata tag, the content credential and the watermark in the audio. It writes a clean 24-bit WAV of the same length, and its report says whether the result is Clean. Clean means none of the markers ScrubMatic checks for were found.
ScrubMatic does not remove:
- audible watermarks;
- Content ID;
- Google SynthID. ScrubMatic can't find or remove it.
AI music services can change their markers at any time. ScrubMatic can only remove the markers it checks for.
4 AI-assisted music
- Many distributors accept AI-assisted music when you say so.
- If your distributor asks whether you used AI, explain how you made the song.
- Don't lie. A false answer can get your releases taken down or your account closed.
- Keep your project files, such as DAW projects (for example Ableton Live sets), stems and MIDI. They are your record of which parts you made yourself and which came from AI.
- The parts you made yourself may be eligible for copyright registration. The US Copyright Office explains this in its report "Copyright and Artificial Intelligence, Part 2: Copyrightability" (January 2025): https://www.copyright.gov/ai/Copyright-and-Artificial-Intelligence-Part-2-Copyrightability-Report.pdf
- This section is general information, not legal advice. For advice about your own songs, ask a lawyer.
Cleaning a file does not change how a song was made.
5 Scrub packs
- Scrubs are sold in packs through the App Store. They are consumable.
- One Scrub saves one clean song, or one set of up to 12 clean stems.
- Checking and previewing are free. A Scrub is only used when the result is Clean.
- Scrubs do not expire.
- Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, use https://reportaproblem.apple.com
6 No warranty
ScrubMatic is provided as it is, without any warranty, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it finds every marker, that a file will be accepted by any service or distributor, or that it works without errors.
7 Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Infinite Loop Alchemist is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from how you use the files ScrubMatic makes. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for Scrubs in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be limited.
8 Not affiliated
ScrubMatic is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Suno, Google or any other AI music service. Their names are trademarks of their owners.
9 Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
